Welcome to the webpage for the Grant County Building Department and Code Enforcement Office. 

We look forward to assisting you and will be happy to provide any additional or specific information not referenced herein.

Services

The Building Department's function is to implement and enforce regulations relating to the design, construction, use and occupancy of buildings and structures located within this jurisdiction, along with the plumbing and mechanical associated with those structures.

The Office of Code Enforcement assists the public by investigating and enforcing violations of the Building and Fire Codes along with all of the Development Regulations established or regulated by the Planning Department including the Unified Development Code (UDC).

The state is expected to adopt the International Codes, replacing the Uniform Codes, in 2004.  These in turn will be adopted by Grant County.  Building Code informational handouts are under development and will be linked to the webpage as soon as available.

 

  • The Building Department is currently installing an automated Building Permit and Tracking System.  Once fully tested, this program will allow the generation of a variety of additional reports not currently available.
