Criminal Investigations Division (CID)
The Criminal Investigations Division (CID), with three detectives assigned,
plays a vital role in the investigation of criminal activity within Grant
County. They often times pick up where the Patrol Division leaves off.
They are charged with investigating major crimes occurring in the County.
These crimes include, but are not limited to:

Homicide

Serious Assaults

Rape/Sexual Assaults

Physical and Sexual Abuse of Children

Arson
-
Robbery
-
Fatality and Serious Injury Traffic Collisions

Felony Theft and Fraud

They are also responsible for assisting the Patrol and Special Operations Divisions by assisting
with follow-up investigations when the need arises.
The CID detectives also provide assistance to local, state and federal law
enforcement and associated agencies upon request. The detectives within the CID provide training regionally to law enforcement
officers in the areas of:
