Crime Prevention Unit

 

The Crime Prevention Unit is part of the Special Operations section of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Crime Prevention Deputy Jay Atwood is a member and regional director of the Washington State Crime Prevention Association.

 

Services provided by this specialized section are as follows:

• Organization of Block Watch groups

• Crime Prevention presentations

• Safety oriented training

• Business and residential security surveys

• False alarm prevention and reduction

• Drug and alcohol abuse prevention training, and a wide array of prevention related training and material
