Welcome to the Grant
County Sheriffs Office Training Division. This division
is under the direction of Chief Deputy Dave Ponozzo.
This division is
responsible for providing standardized, timely, and
relevant training to over 100 Department employees in
order to ensure job proficiency and safety awareness.
This Division is broken down into several functional
units, including the Regional Reserve Academy, Regional
Training, In-Service Training for Patrol, Corrections,
Reserves and Support Staff.
Our Training
Division is actively involved with the Washington State
Criminal Justice Training Commission’s Regional Training
Program. Our Training Region is comprised of twelve Law
Enforcement Agencies spanning two counties. We have
maintained partnerships with local colleges, businesses,
and federal agencies in order to provide low cost and up
to date training to the Law Enforcement Officers.
